Terms and Conditions

    1. General

1.1. These Terms and Conditions govern the hire and use of skip bins provided by Swat Bins (“the Company”). By hiring a bin, the customer (“the Hirer”) agrees to these terms.

1.2. Swat Bins reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

2. Bin Hire and Usage

2.1. The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that only permissible waste is placed in the skip bin. Prohibited items include but are not limited to asbestos, chemicals, batteries, liquids, and hazardous materials.

2.2. The Hirer must not overfill the bin beyond its rim. Overfilled bins may not be collected, and additional charges may apply.

2.3. Bins must not be moved once placed on-site without prior approval from Swat Bins.

2.4. As the customer in possession of the skip bin, you are solely responsible for what goes into it. If any unauthorized materials are placed in the bin or if the bin is overloaded, you will be liable for any associated costs, including fines, additional disposal fees, or penalties imposed by waste facilities or regulatory authorities.

3. Weight and Charges

3.1. Bin hire charges include a base fee and an additional weight charge based on disposal costs.

3.2. The weight of waste will be determined using either:

• A tip receipt from an approved waste facility, or
• A photograph of the waste on scales, with the bin weight deducted (200kg for 2m³ bins, 300kg for 3m³ bins).

3.3. Additional charges apply if waste exceeds weight limits or contains prohibited materials.

4. Payment and Non-Payment

4.1. All invoices must be paid in full by the due date stated on the invoice.

4.2. If an invoice remains unpaid, Swat Bins reserves the right to return an equivalent weight of waste to the site from which it was collected.

4.3. Late payments may incur interest and recovery costs.

5. Liability and Indemnity

5.1. The Hirer is responsible for any damage to the bin (excluding fair wear and tear) during the hire period.

5.2. Swat Bins is not liable for any damage caused to driveways, paths, or surfaces due to the placement or removal of the bin.

5.3. The Hirer indemnifies Swat Bins against any claims, losses, or damages arising from the use or misuse of the bin.

6. Collection and Removal

6.1. Bins will be collected on the agreed date or earlier if full and requested by the Hirer.

6.2. If a bin is inaccessible at the time of collection, additional fees may apply for a failed pickup attempt.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

7.1. Cancellations made within 24 hours of scheduled delivery may incur a cancellation fee.

7.2. Refunds are at the discretion of Swat Bins and will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.

By hiring a skip bin from Swat Bins, the Hirer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
